Learning with Room 5 - 2013: 2013-05-05

Hi from the town of Split in Croatia. We have had a great trip so far. Our flights over to England were really long - more than 24 hours. We went to Mum's cousin's wedding near Lancaster. Lancaster has a really old castle with a dungeon. When we visited London we saw Big Ben, and went on a huge Ferris Wheel. People travel around the rim of the wheel in capsules, and you can see all over London. We also went on a boat ride down the River Thames, and visited the Tower of London where we saw the Queen's Crown Jewels. Next we went to Spain where it was nice and warm. We went to a huge waterfall. We also went swimming in a pool which was over 2.5 metres deep. From Spain we flew to Dubrovnik in Croatia. It is a really old city surrounded by thick walls up to 25 metres high. The sea there was nice and warm, and we saw fish swimming in the water at the beach. We also took a ferry to an island. Now we are in Split for a few days, and then we will fly to Rome in Italy before our long trip home. Here is a photo of me and my Dad and brother, Ollie.
